This winter, Peak Restaurants participated in two Radiothon events to raise funds for East Tennessee Children's Hospital and Niswonger Children's Hospital, two premier hospitals for children in East Tennessee.
The McAlister's Deli franchisee partnered with two local radio stations, WIVK in Knoxville and WTFM in the Tri-Cities, who promoted the events onsite at the restaurants.
At the conclusion of the Radiothon, Peak donated $1,500 to East Tennessee Children's Hospital, a 152-bed hospital in Knoxville, TN. Founded in 1937, East Tennessee Children's Hospital is one of four Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Centers in Tennessee. Peak also donated $1,000 to Niswonger Children's Hospital in Johnson City, TN, which offers state of the art care for children in the region in a family-centered environment.
We at Peak Restaurants are happy to support East Tennessee Children's Hospital and Niswonger Children's Hospital and the important work they do in our communities.

To celebrate Peak Restaurants' 15th Year Anniversary, the group hosted Fundraiser Friday, from which a portion of sales were donated to local food banks.
The local McAlister's Deli franchisee donated close to $2,600 to local Food Banks. Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee received $1,421.51, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee received $542.35, and Feeding America Southwest Virginia received $635.79.
The primary function of the food banks is to secure food for the hungry. Once the food is collected—whether received by donation or purchased by the food bank—volunteers package the food and distribute it to partners in the community like churches and shelters.
For every dollar, three meals are provided for those in need.
Peak's donation will help these Feeding America affiliate members provide more than 7,700 meals for those in need, and we're grateful to have had the opportunity to contribute to their vital work.
