Bristol, VA. (September 26, 2018) — Peak Restaurants' new location in Bristol, VA, announced in March 2018 at the Bristol Chamber of Commerce, is making steady progress. The Bristol McAlister's Deli is a part of the commercial development on Euclid Avenue across from Food City.
We at Peak are looking forward to joining the Bristol community, and hope to have the store up and running sometime in early November. Until then, here's a look at some progress photos from late September:

Knoxville, TN. (September 13, 2018) — Peak Restaurants participated in two community tasting events in early September: Taste of Turkey Creek and Taste of Blount. These community events are designed for locals to become acquainted with eateries in town and to raise money for charitable causes.
Taste of Turkey Creek is Knoxville’s premier tasting event and the Pat Summit Foundation’s biggest event of the year. It has raised, according to the event’s website, more than $75,000 to support its fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Peak’s Turkey Creek team set up a booth at the event, serving our Famous Tea and samples of our sandwiches. At Taste of Blount, our Alcoa squad likewise set up a booth. There, we won the People’s Choice award for Best Beverage for the fourth year in a row. We were happy to get out in the community and take part of both of these events. Thanks to the people in Turkey Creek and Blount County for allowing us the opportunity! Roanoke, VA. (September 6, 2018) — In early September, Peak Restaurants donated around 30 pounds of peanut butter to Feeding America Southwest Virginia, a food bank whose primary function is to secure large quantities of food for the hungry across Southwest Virginia, from Lee County to Alleghany County.
Thanks to the Roanoke team, especially Sabra Kerznar, for leading the charge on this donation. We at Peak Restaurants appreciate all that Feeding America SWVA does for people in need in our communities. Read below the letter of thanks from Jenny Doud, Vice President of External Affairs at Feeding America SWVA: Sabra Kerznar, Thank you so much for your donation today of approximately 30 pounds of peanut butter you collected at McAlister’s Deli. Peanut butter is one of the most sought food items for our charitable food distribution programs. Peanut butter is a healthy protein – so often lacking in the diets of the food insecure. We thank you for your support of our drive. Thank you too for being a wonderful volunteer today. Your assistance helped us launch a new distribution program of boxed food to help improve the health of low-income elderly individuals in our community. You’re helping to make a difference. [...] Best Wishes, Jenny |
